February 2015:

A panel discussion on the topic: "Beyond a Living Wage" With guest panelists: Katelyn Davis, Workers Rights Advocate, and Juan Cardoza - Oquendo, Policy Advocate, Dallas Office of the Workers Defense Project. They will discuss wage issues which workers in Dallas County, Tarrant County and the surrounding counties of the Metroplex, face because of wage theft, the failure to pay the wages due, illegal working conditions, the recent campaign in front of the City Council to win a rest break for construction workers and related issues. 

We will also have a presentation by Larry Duncan - President, Dallas County Schools Board of Trustees.  He will discuss the work of the Dallas County Schools. (6 PM, Preston Royal Library Auditorium, 5626 Royal Lane, Dallas 75229)

Preston Hollow Democrats is an organization which includes members and guests from the area north of Northwest Highway to the LBJ freeway, and from I-35 to I-75. Preston Hollow Democrats programs focus on public policy issues and concerns. In election years, many candidates are invited to speak and respond to questions from the audience. We meet at the Preston Royal Library Auditorium, 5626 Royal Lane, Dallas 75229, on the Second Thursday of each month, commencing at 6:00 p.m. The program presentation is from 6:30 - 7:30 pm, followed by a 15 minute period reserved for questions submitted by the audience.
