BACKGROUND: Texas State Representative Carol Kent is holding a town hall meeting for her constituents. The town hall event will celebrate Texas' March 2 birthday - the day the state celebrates its independence. Special guests include Lisa Elledge, manager, Stimulus Program, at the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts in Austin. Ms. Elledge will speak to constituents about the Energy Efficient Appliance Rebate Program. The program enables consumers to receive rebates for eligible appliances purchased between April 16, 2010 and April 25, 2010.
