Hubener is a community leader and longtime resident of southwest Dallas County. She and her mother own a successful residential and property management company in Duncanville. She holds an undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, and a graduate degree from Claremont Graduate University in Claremont, California .
