In her first term, Judge Hawk was named Best Rookie Judge by the Dallas Observer. She has over 15 years of legal experience. A university study of her ATLAS Mental Health Divert Court showed that it produced a 70 percent reduction in new arrests for habitual mentally ill offenders.
