Financial Affairs

The Party Treasurer, who is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the Party Chair, chairs the Financial Affairs Committee.  The primary function of this committee is to review all information that will be included in the Treasurer's report at the next Executive Committee meeting for accuracy and transparency concurrent with a discussion of Party operations since the last meeting.  A committee appointed by the Treasurer will conduct a biennial internal audit of the Party as of the end of each even-numbered year.  This audit will include, but not be limited to, policies and procedures governing accounting and recordkeeping, internal controls and compliance with all applicable laws.  In the absence of an audit, these matters will fall under the purview of the Financial Affairs Committee.
