Sponsor the 9th Annual Fish Fry

It’s time to put together sponsors for the 9th annual Dallas County Democratic Party Fish Fry, and we need your support. Every year, Democratic voters and our candidates come together for food and fellowship. This year’s event is on Friday, October 16 at the Sokol Hall on Walnut Hill in Dallas.

It is hard to believe how fast the time has gone! It seems like just yesterday we were celebrating the local victories and the election of our first Democratic President of the United States in eight years. However, just take a quick glance at the calendar, and you will see it is already high campaign season for the 2010 election!

As you can imagine, no matter how frugal we are, funding a year-round Party Headquarters is costly. We receive no financial support from the national Democratic Party, nor do we receive any funding from the Texas Democratic Party. Every dime we raise comes from Dallas County and is put to work in Dallas County.  We will be posting a form online shortly for you be able to buy tickets to the Fish Fry.

President Obama Addresses Congress

Last night, President Obama gave a powerful speech to Congress and the American people about the importance of health reform.  Organizing for America held a Watch Party for the speech at the Knox Street Pub off McKinney Ave.  The Watch Party was filled to capacity with Democrats who cheered greatly at our President's proposed reforms.  Thank you to everyone who came out to show their support for President Obama and watch his speech.  The local media was also onsite to listen to Democrats give their own thoughts and opinions about the speech.
